20 Jun HTx Symposium – 12 June 2024 – Sofia, Bulgaria

On the 12th of June 2024, HTx experts at the Medical University of Sofia (Bulgaria) organised a satellite symposium to present the results of the HTx project to Bulgarian HTA experts and students. 

The day-long symposium aimed to share the Bulgarian team’s results within the HTx project with local experts, and to discuss the lessons learned throughout the project, as well as begin conversations about directions for future research. HTx experts gave presentations on the importance of real-world data, real-world evidence and AI within the HTA decision-making process, as well as the importance of engaging with patients throughout the process.  

As part of the discussions with local experts, representatives of the Bulgarian HTA body, the National Council of Prices and Reimbursement, presented their view on how newly developed methods, including those developed as part of HTx, could be introduced in the national evaluation system in Bulgaria.
